It is final, the property here at S & J 7280 State Road 13 N our Trout Creek location has been sold! It was a tough decision that we pondered and prayed over at great length and we felt like it was the right decision for our family and the only explanation is that God was pushing in that direction, we are a lot of stubborn hard headed folk so I made it clear that if that was what was best He was gonna have to shove a little, and he did. 🙂 such is life.
The new owner of the property as part of the deal in the sale, has given us 6 months to clear off all of the plants so as we get closer to June the discounts will continue to increase on plant crops. I will continue to attempt posting videos of what is out here for you to see but its a really big place and videos just don’t really do the space justice so come on out and check it out for yourself and pick up some plants at a great price!
WE ARE SO thankful for all the community that has come out to support the closeout sale and expressed how they have enjoyed coming to the nursery through the years, how they used to come to our nursery in the the Mandarin location off of Old St. Augustine Road and watched us grow from a tiny spot to a giant thriving nursery and still came to us after we moved down here in St. Johns county even though it was 30 minutes away. Stories of how they planted a tree for the birth of each of their children or how they have planted their Christmas tree each year in a row an down have a large privacy screen of progressively smaller trees down the side of their property or how much they enjoyed walking about in the field picking their flowers for their butterfly gardens and knowing the plants were safe for their pollinators. Thank you so so much for all your words of kindness and heaven knows I will miss growing plants for you. I have loved it, every single day of it and what more can you say of what you decide to do with your time on this planet than you did what you loved and loved what you did.
Dad is turning 87 years young this year and is planning what he will do to fill all his free hours…”you can’t play tennis ALL the time’ he sais, worried that he wont have things to do to keep his never ending energetic self occupied. One thing is for sure, Charles James McGehee will FIND something to do!
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to break down and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn , and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to loose; a time to keep and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate: a time of war, and a time of peace…
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.
